…it ain't quite a Jaguar. But it does the job, although in recent months I've been beginning to notice the increased number of idiots on the road. In a single round-trip today I was cut up by a woman going through a red traffic light, two cars at the same roundabout, a police car going the wrong way on a dual carriageway towards me; as well as being stuck behind vehicles doing 30 in a 60. Then when you get to the destination there's nowhere to park because of idiots hogging three spaces! That brings back memories of the poor state of the Lancaster University parking scheme…
On a related note, there was an untaxed car parked on the aforementioned route for about a month before a Police Aware sign appeared on it last week, just for it to be torched last night. Well played, Council.

As those who know me will appreciate, it doesn’t take much to enrage me. Reality TV certainly doesn’t help the situation either…
Page three of the Evening Standard this afternoon contained an article on how Kerry ‘McFatten’ (the ‘winner’ of IACGMOOH apparently) will be guaranteed a Number 1 single and £2m!
So the Atomic Kitten drop-out who hasn’t sung a word in over three years is guaranteed this fortune just for appearing alongside other non-celebrities on holiday in Australia? I just don’t understand! The single (although probably written during her stay) hasn’t even left her lips yet, and it’s already guaranteed top sales. What has happened to the British music industry? There’s no ‘music’ left in it, that’s what. It’s all about image, celebrity, marketing and peer pressure – most of the latter coming from local commercial radio stations who play this noise to no end!
It’s certainly making the Watermans of this world very wealthy indeed and those with working ears rather irritated. The answer to why CD single sales are continually falling is not increased illegal downloads (these people generally download tracks as a taster before going out and buying the album), but the decrease in the quality of the output.
On another ‘music’ note – what’s going on in the latest Pepsi advert? Apart from Pink screaming some racket to a crowd of ‘Romans’. MTV too seem to be running scared after the farce with Jackson and the one that used to do Britney. They’ve moved six videos til after the watershed just in case anyone else would get offended! I think the future of the international music scene is enough to offend anyone…

Had a poor half game in goal today for the Essex Wanderers against bottom-of-the-league Sporting Goujon. I don't know if their name is supposed to be ironic, but a vicious tackle shortly after the break saw one of our defenders going off in an Ambulance with two broken bones in his leg. The game was stopped and I'm not sure what will happen next as far as the points go. The website just says 'match postponed', along with our last three fixtures! Forget LLDWW, it's more like PPPPL…
I've just managed to get the photos that I took from my Leave of Absence spent in Lancaster posted. Please let me know your comments using the new comment-adding and rating options available when viewing images. No proper reason for the delay except laziness and forgetfulness.

What's worse than having to listen to so called 'bootlegs' made up of one of your favourite groups (Prodigy, Chemical Brothers…) versus one of your most hated (Kylie, Pink…) on Kiss whilst at the gym? That's right, watching your team go three nil up at home at half time just to throw it all away against ten man Man City in the second.
Well played, Spurs. Nice welcome back to Premiership football for Jermain Defoe as well…
