Everywhere I walk around Bromley at the moment I seem to see red rubber bands on the pavement.
What are they for? Where have they come from?
Are they following me?

I have found the solution! It seems as though these are the responsibility of irresponsible post(wo)men. The lesser-spotted red rubber band has also been spotted as far away as Essex according to http://chrisoakley.blogspot.com/2005/08/red-rubber-band-no-supporting-artist.html
