As you probably already know, I work and live in Bromley, Kent (or South-East London, whichever you prefer) and have done since the start of the year. My job is a Web Developer for a medium-sized (but growing!) insurance and remortgage company.
I am part of the company's (also rapidly growing) IT department who build and support various computer systems for staff, clients and salespeople across the country.
My main tasks are currently to design and implement a brand new Intranet as well as help with the redesign of the public website. Both are going well and we are hoping to launch the Intranet later this year.
Most of my spare time at the moment is going into training for the 24 Peaks Challenge in September. This is the biggest annual Challenge event that Care International UK run and involves walking (AKA hiking AKA climbing) up 24 peaks, each over 2400ft, in the Lake District in 24 hours across two days. I recently got back into squash, although admittantly I'm not that good. In fact, I still remain at the foot of the mini-squash league we run at work. It's fun though, and helps out with training for the above!
In moving to the area and not really knowing anyone, I joined up to one of the local societies which carries out various community and social based activities. I became a member in July this year.
I'm still into the ol' computer games, including most recently Half Life 2 on the PC and Halo 2 on the X-Box. I was really into the latter on Live when it first came out, but I haven't had a lot of chance to play online recently. I don't think I'm going to buy that MP add-on pack.
I listen to a fair bit of music, as can be seen from my collection but don't seem to watch as many films as I used to. I can't even remember the last film I saw at the cinema! I am into the animated US shows, though. Family Guy and The Simpsons are up there, although Season 4 and Season 16 respectively have been rather disappointing IMHO (since when did TVTome get bought out by CNET?).
