Compliancy

This site is fully W3C (XHTML 1.0 Transitional & CSS 2.0) compliant. This means that the site should be interoperable across differing web browsers and system setups. If you experience problems using this site, please contact me. If you wish to change the size of the text on this site you may alter your browser settings or choose the Customise option to the right.

I have also worked hard to make this site Double-A Conformant to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.

Hosting

My web hosts are AliveWWW whom I have been with for many years! They offer varying UNIX hosting accounts from £30 - £200 per annum which include PHP 4, Apache ASP, SSL, SSI, (Secure) POP3/SMTP, Stats, GD Graphics Library, Sub Domains, Web Users, MySQL/PostgreSQL databases as well as loads of disk space and bandwidth. The domain name was registered with UKReg who offer .co.uk addresses for £2.95 (+VAT) per year (min 2 years) and a comprehensive DNS control panel.

This website utilises most of the above technologies, with emphasis on PHP for MySQL database access. I'm gradually moving over to XML for content delivery and storage but I'm still getting to grips with how it works with PHP. It seems so much straighforward in .NET!

Design

This site was built using Allaire HomeSite 4.5.2, now owned by Macromedia (what they need it for when they have Dreamweaver and with their impending Adobe merger, GoLive, is anyone's guess). All graphics were created in Adobe Photoshop.
