Back to Renee's Main PageFilmography

Renée in Jerry MaguireRenée has starred in many minor releases, gradually working her way up, and making her UK mainscreen debut when she played Dorothy Boyd in the award-winning Jerry Maguire, alongside Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr. Apparently, Tom's wife was present during all filming, but surprisingly not during the ‘scenes of passion’ with Renée...

In the past however, she was nominated for Best Debut Artist for ‘Love and a .45’, which was directed by Carty Talkington. She has also starred in ‘My Boyfriend's Back’, ‘The Comforts of Home’, ‘Reality Bites’, ‘Eight Seconds’, ‘The Art of Coffee’ and ‘Dazed & Confused’, directed by Richard Linklater.

Renée has also been on several American Television programmes, namely: ‘Murder in the Heartland’ and ‘Shake Rattle and Rock’.

Before Jerry Maguire, Renée starred in Warner Brothers’ ‘Empire Records’ as Gin, which was directed by Allan Moyle. She was also in ‘The Whole Wide World’, in 1996 playing Novalyne Price: “I was blown away by the script. From the first page, I felt so much for this woman. And as I read on, I just couldn't believe the parallels between her life and mine. I could relate to her on so many levels. I understood her. And it wasn't just our backgrounds; it seemed to go deeper than that. Novalyne has complete conviction, knows who she is, and because she's such a passionate woman, she fully believes what she believes. And we see too little of that, onscreen and in everyday life, these days.”
